European Plasters

This is a study of "real" plasters rather than art plasters.  We will be completing sample boards using such plasters as marmorino, veneciano, antico, tuscany, terra.  These plasters are lime based or cement based so can be burnished to a marble-like sheen. Some of them are appropriate for floors and countertops.  Wax, mica powders, and glazes will be used to produce beautiful aged "old world" finishes.
